Now bringing to You Ancient Wisdom and Practices to incorporate in your Modern day lifestyle with Yoga and Ayurveda.
Yoga is an ancient wisdom and philosophy of how to live your life through postures, breath work, meditation and moral principles. Bringing this ancient knowledge back in our modern day lives truly helps us to connect our Mind, Body and Soul. This allows us to get in touch with our true self and who we really are. The practice of Yoga is truly discovering “Who you are”. Yoga is not about the shape of your body but the shape of your LIFE.
Yoga is a form of discipline – a physical, mental and spiritual practice. It is a technique of controlling the mind and body to experience the union of one’s higher self.
Meditation according to the ancient teachings in Hinduism, Buddhism and many other religions is to calm the restless mind. Through meditation we can release stress, increase concentration and self-awareness. This allows you to make decisions with clarity and consciousness. It also helps to increase mental strength and immunity for greater physical/emotional wellbeing. Through calming the fluctuations of your thoughts, you are able to transcend into higher realms of reality.
Ayur means ‘Life’ and Veda means ‘Knowledge’. Ayurveda is a 5000 year old ancient science of life which originated in India. It is a whole body approach and a medical system that manages your health by using Ayurveda principles. Ayurveda classifies every individual based on 3 types, Kapha (Earth), Pitta (Fire) and Vata (Air). We are all made of these elements and they are around us and within our bodies. Ayurveda aims at balancing these elements through specific diets, herbal remedies and routines which are based on your constitution. Ayurveda identifies the source of the problem in the physical body and assists in maintaining a healthier life style.
